Overview
This live online training provides a focused introduction to connected vehicle data, including Harsh Braking Incidents (HBIs), and how it can support proactive highway and road safety management. Participants will explore how HBI data are collected, validated, and interpreted, supported by real-world examples, modelling insights, and research drawn from Dr Kamla's PhD work and industry practice.
Learning Outcomes
-
Understand how harsh braking data supports proactive safety management.
-
Build confidence in interpreting and applying incident data.
-
Develop an understanding of how connected vehicle data can be used to monitor speeds, network safety performance, and changes in risk.
-
Learn from real-world examples and current research.
